Before beginning the duel with Arrai-Veretel, she plants her sword in the center of the arena and recites a short ritual in honor of the earth.
The boss fight with her consists of two phases. In both phases, she moves quickly and attacks aggressively with strong melee attacks, and has some defense against ❋ Air, ✤ Earth, and ✦ Thunder damage.
Arrai-Veretel's first phase has 30,000 health. She is immune to all Blindness and Slowness effects in this phase. Occasionally, she will use the Charge ability to leap towards the player. After her health is depleted, she will retrieve her weapon from the center of the ritual arena to begin her second phase.
This phase has a much larger 80,000 health. She is still immune to Blindness, but merely resistant to Slowness. She also uses a much broader set of abilities in this phase, including Charge and its Heavy variant; the Pull and Push abilities; and the Explode and Multihit abilities, which can deal massive damage. After depleting Arrai-Veretel's health in her hard-fought second phase, she will finally concede victory and agree to come to a ceasefire agreement.
Arrai is an Orcish title likely equivalent to "high chief". It is comparable to Rai, meaning "chief", found in the names of other Orc leaders such as Rai-Poxper.
