The Craftmas Cracker Vendor is an NPC that appeared in Detlas for the Festival of the Blizzard. It appeared on December 10th, 2021 and then disappeared on January 3rd, 2022. It did not have a use until December 25th, 2021, and then sold Craftmas Crackers.

Dialogue

Before December 25th, 2021

• There's an inscription on the machine. 'Craftmas Crackers! Great jokes! Fabulous gifts! Only 2 Emerald Blocks!'
• ...There's also a note on top of the machine. 'SOLD OUT. Sorry for the inconvienience!'
• [1] Purchase a cracker.
  • Have at least two Emerald Blocks:
    • You insert two emerald blocks, hoping for the best.
    • The machine refunds your emeralds, and does not give you a Craftmas Cracker. Disappointing.
  • Do not have two Emerald Blocks:
    • You go to pay for a cracker, only to find that you don't have enough emeralds.
    • Your attempt to pay for a Craftmas Cracker will have to wait for another day.
• [2] Leave it alone.
  • You step away from the Craftmas Cracker Vendor, giving it one final wistful glance before departing.

Traveling Corkian

There will be a Traveling Corkian NPC near the Craftmas Cracker Vendor on December 25th, 2021, who gives the following dialogue. He will disappear after he has been spoken to.

• Traveling Corkian: Let's see here... Ah, mo'in! You must be here to purchase some Craftmas Crackers, yes?
• Traveling Corkian: I had set up the machine near the start of the festivities, but it seems that it sold out rather quickly!
• Traveling Corkian: Ah, no matter. I've restocked it now. You're free to purchase to your heart's content!

When spoken to again:

• Traveling Corkian: ...Hm? Oh, don't mind me, I'll be leaving shortly. Just had to restock the machine!

During & After December 25th, 2021

• There's an inscription on the machine. 'Craftmas Crackers! Great jokes! Fabulous gifts! Only 2 Emerald Blocks!'
• [1] Purchase a cracker.
  • Have at least two Emerald Blocks:
    • You pay two emerald blocks for a Craftmas Cracker.
    • ...
    • The machine spits out a cracker!

    • Your attempt to pay for a Craftmas Cracker will have to wait for another day.
• [2] Purchase sixteen crackers in bulk
  • Have at least 32 Emerald Blocks:
    • You pay for sixteen Craftmas Crackers.
    • ...
    • The machine spits out a bundle of sixteen Craftmas Crackers!
    • [+16 Craftmas Crackers]
  • Do not have 32 Emerald Blocks:
    • You go to pay for sixteen crackers, only to find that you don't have enough emeralds.
    • Your attempt to pay for sixteen Craftmas Crackers will have to wait for another day.
• [3] Check on the display.
  • The display seems to show you how many crackers you have purchased, and how much you have spent in total.
  • It also seems there is a button to stop getting gifts from the crackers.
  • 'You have purchased {x} Craftmas Crackers, totaling {y} {E/EB/LE} spent.'
• [4] Turn off gifts./Turn gifts back on.
  • You will no longer receive gifts from Craftmas Crackers.
  • You will now receive gifts from Craftmas Crackers again.
• [5] Leave it alone.

Milestone Dialogues

These dialogues appear after you have reached a milestone in purchasing Craftmas Crackers from the Vendor when the previous dialogue has finished.

• 16 Craftmas Crackers Purchased (32 Emerald Blocks) - Ability to buy 16 Craftmas Crackers in bulk.
  • The machine informs you that you now have the option to purchase Craftmas Crackers in bulk.
• 128 Craftmas Crackers Purchased (2 Liquid Emeralds) - Ability to turn off gifts and to check how much money you spent on Craftmas Crackers.
  • A panel on the machine slides open, revealing a display.
• 1024 Craftmas Crackers Purchased (32 Liquid Emeralds) - Golden Craftmas Cracker and the inability to further purchase Craftmas Crackers.
  • A slot opens up beneath the display.

Golden Craftmas Cracker Dialogue

This dialogue is only available once you have purchased 1024 Craftmas Crackers.

• A new slot has opened under the display. 'Craftmas Crackers! Great jokes! Fabulous gifts! Only 2 Emerald Blocks!'
• [1] Look inside the slot.
  • You reach into the slot.
  • ...
  • You pull out a golden Craftmas Cracker. The display lights up.
  • 'Thank you esteemed customer, for purchasing 32 LE worth of our product.'
  • 'As a reward for your patronage, please accept this Golden Craftmas Cracker.'
  • 'This vendor will be shutting down very soon. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.'
  • [+1 Golden Craftmas Cracker]
• [2] Leave it alone.

After Receiving the Golden Craftmas Cracker

• The machine is silent. There are no crackers left to conquer. 'Craftmas Crackers! Great jokes! Fabulous gifts! Only 2 Emerald Blocks!'
• [1] Purchase a Cracker.
  • You insert two emerald blocks, hoping that there are still crackers to purchase.
  • ...
  • The machine refunds your emeralds, and does not give you a Craftmas Cracker.
• [2] Check the display.
  • The display lights up with one final message.
  • 'This vendor has been terminated. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.'
• [3] Turn gifts off./Turn gifts back on.
• [4] Leave it alone.

Trivia

• The machine did not take any emeralds from you before Christmas 2021.
