The battle of Nemract was a historical landmark in the war against corruption, but ultimately a loss. The dead of the brave and the bold now fester in the underworld, willing others to make the journey to the other side.

Overview

This is the corrupted version of the Underworld Crypt Dungeon. It is mechanically identical but has a "corrupted" design, mobs of a higher level and better rewards. It can be accessed by entering its portal at The Forgery.

You will need to kill at least 25 mobs for a run to count towards the Forgery Chest.

Guide

After giving a Key to the Key Collector, enter the dungeon and you will arrive in a dark cave filled with ruins and large bones, with a massive closed door directly opposite. Go through the door for the next phase.

Room 1

Dialogue:

• ???: How foolish. Just because you have overcome s̴̼̀͒o̵̟̐m̴̭̩̉̓ę̸̥̌̽ţ̸̎̇ͅh̸̻̿ḯ̷̖ṇ̷̬̏g̸͕͆͝ once does not mean it will happen again.

After entering through the gates, you will arrive in a similar chamber to the first one. As you pass through, forsaken legion peasants and dahbasis will emerge from the ground in a series of explosions and attack you, however you can simply ignore them if you want and head to the next section.

Room 2

In the next stage, you will have to survive in small chambers with three different minibosses, all with incredibly high HP, and do simple parkour across the room in between each one. After surviving for an increasing amount of time for each miniboss, a bridge will appear allowing you to parkour to the next one. The first miniboss in the room is a Forsaken Legion Butcher, which you have to avoid for 20 seconds to advance to the next miniboss.

The second miniboss is the Forsaken Legion Castellan, which you have to avoid for 30 seconds to advance to the next miniboss.

The third and final miniboss is the Forsaken Legion High Priest, which you have to avoid for 40 seconds to advance to the next room.

Room 3

In the next room, you will have to kill a miniboss while being attacked by other mobs in order to open a skull to advance to the next room.

Room 4

After passing through the skull's mouth, you will have to complete another survival section. When you press the button on the small wooden boat, it will move down the river, and you will have to fend off the mobs attacking you from platforms along the river as you pass them. If you fall off the boat or attempt to leave it, you will be teleported back to its center.

Room 5

After successfully crossing the river, you will find yourself in a small room with a fortress-like wall at the end. General Graken's note is found here, which reads:

Dialogue:

• General Graken: Old chap, I can only hope you find this scribble in my absence. Of course I hope that you did not have to return at all.
• General Graken: I must say chum, I haven't got good news. I know we fought bravely and most admirably against the evil that is Charon, and won. Or so we thought... I was evacuating the last of the boys after you departed when the Grook really croaked.
• General Graken: All around me the walls shifted in colour. The dead rose once more. Charon made a return in a blaze of bloody mist. We did all we could, but we were done up like a kipper. I am all that is left, hiding in a corner of this red cave.
• General Graken: I hope to give you my final note of advice, should it ever be needed. Charon reunited the corpses of his army to bring them back, so don't let him do this if you must fight him again. If only I were able to reunite the fellows so we could all walk free...
• General Graken: Nevertheless, whatever happens, I'll keep fighting! Even if my life goes down the pan, you got back from that once before! I'll keep dragging myself back together from the brink to throw as heavy a punch as I can manage.

You enter the boss battle through an opening in the wall when you hit the button.

Boss Room

The boss arena of the fight is Corrupted Charon, the Keeper of Souls. His fight is similar to his corrupted version, although this time, he has two new custom spells, Call of the Punished, and Soulstealing Curse.

Gravedigger is when Corrupted Charon says the following:

• Corrupted Charon: Rise my minions! An undead army at my service, do you really think you stand a chance?

After the dialogue has played, there will be graves around the arena that must be sealed before the timer ends. The graves can be sealed by right-clicking them, and the time you have to seal them varies depending on the amount of graves there are. If you fail to close any graves, some Forsaken Husks and Feral Forsaken Husks will spawn.

Souls of Sojourn is when Corrupted Charon says the following:

• Corrupted Charon: You will suffer the same fate as those before you, summon thee souls from beneath!

Corrupted Charon will then teleport to a random location of the arena while five skulls will surround Corrupted Charon as he becomes invincible, and he will fire them at you.

Seething Sweep is when Corrupted Charon will use a telegraph called Phantom Warp and then lunge forward and have an area that deals damage to anyone caught in it 5 times, similar to Multihit combined with Charge, although unlike Multihit and Charge, it does not hit-stun you. Alternatively, another variant can be used which causes him to sweep in a circular area of the arena, and is telegraphed by the following line:

• Corrupted Charon: Pathetic mortal- can't you see that I have the upperhand!?

Call of the Punished is when Corrupted Charon says the following:

• Corrupted Charon: Face my grasp, your wretched soul will belong to me!

5 Punished Conscripts will spawn around Corrupted Charon.

Soulstealing Curse is the most dangerous custom spell that Corrupted Charon has. It is telegraphed by this line playing:

• Corrupted Charon: Fetch me their soul, fuel my eternal rage!

Your soul will then appear in an area in the arena. You will have 7 seconds to take back your soul, and if you do, you will be unscathed. However, if you fail to grab it, a lot of damage will be dealt to you.

Once Corrupted Charon has been defeated, the player will be teleported to the entrance of the dungeon and will then receive their rewards.
