Greenskin
An Orc, the most common Greenskin species.
Greenskins
Type Group of Species
Location Llevigar Plains, Olux Swamp, Pre-Light Forest and Canyon of the Lost in Gavel Province
Information A group of green-skinned species, varying in size and power. They do have some notable intelligence, though when compared to other intelligent species, Greenskins typically fall behind.

The Greenskins are a group of species inhabiting the western Gavel Province and the Canyon of the Lost, in the east of the province. All Greenskins have a generally greenish skin colour. They often lack in magical potential and intelligence, but make up for it with their typically high physical strength. This category of species includes Orcs, Trolls, Ogres, Goblins and Hobgoblins. Sometimes, Gerts are included within the definition, though they are a separate species (if they can even be considered a species).[1]

The Greenskins mainly live in the Llevigar Plains, which has been their home for an unknown amount of years. However, they probably predate the Villagers in the regions, as the Villagers only conquered the west some centuries ago during the royal Villager rule of Gavel.[2] The Orcs and Goblins, the main Greenskin species in the Llevigar Plains, have several camps spread out across the plains.[3][4]

Greenskin Species[]

Orcs[]

The Orcs are the most common type of Greenskin seen in the game. They are a warring species with a clear military hierarchy, and have been an issue to Villagers for some time, with both species making multiple attacks and operations against each other. However, recently, the Villagers and the Orcs signed a ceasefire which continues to this day.[4]

The Villagers usually think of the Orcs as very stupid, though there are a couple cases where this is proved more or less false: the Orc Chief Gregg'r was able to steal the runic Fire Axe of Llevigar from within the homonymous city, although he was not able to use it.[4] Orcs are mainly found in the Llevigar Plains and Pre-Light Forest. In the plains, orcs are split into multiple camps, each with their own color, leader and name. A list of all the camps is found below:

This camp is located near the border of the Olux Swamp. It is very brown of color, with the tents being made out of a gray fabric. The camp is well-protected by wood walls, and contains a large amount of weapon crates, meaning that the Orcs might use this camp as a weapon storage. The main tent has a large stick on a pedestal known as the "Big Smack", the use of which is unknown. This camp is featured in the quest Blazing Retribution.

Lying under a lake in the Plains, the Secretcove Camp is well-hidden. It is ruled by a fairly known and powerful orc chief, Poxper. The first area you enter once diving down the lake is a cave with a Tier 3 loot chest in it. After opening a hidden door, you must pass through some ancient ruins, and finally reach Poxper's main base underground, which has a large table in the middle. The camp is a major location in the quest Blazing Retribution.

The Sunspark camp contains orange tents and a watchtower. It is located near the swamp, and doesn't have high walls around it. The camp's orcs include Sunspark Tomewriters and Skyrollickers. The orcs here seem to use and practise simple fire magic, which is unusual of them. There is a cave underneath the main camp area, which contains a big fire, some crates and a pile of meat.

Although most Orc camps can be seen as aggressive military outposts, this blue-flagged camp north of Karoc Quarry is a calmer trading outpost, where many orcs come to barter and sell a variety of items, particularly jewels.

  • Holehold Camp
Location
Llevigar Plains
-1763, 43, -4774
PinpointConcept2
Wynncraft Map

This camp is quite well-hidden, as it has no flags and is hidden in an underground cave. There are some camps inside, and the orcs residing there are quite agile. Additionally, there is a small parkour that leads to a Tier 3 chest. There is a more powerful orc in there called the Holehold Orc Marathon, who is presumably the leader of the camp.

  • Stonecave Camp
  • Roothome Camp

Additionally, the Orcs own a large fortress in Pre-Light Forest called Centerworld, the central hub of the orcs where the Arrai lives. Recently, the Orcs have also taken over a Villager fortress in the Olux Swamp set to monitor the Orcish capital.[5]

The Orcs have a social hierarchy, where there are the common orcs, which all do work for the camps, being guard duty or other tasks, although presumably no common orcs are above each other. Above the commoners are the Rai orcs, who are the leader of a camp, and presumably have close ties to the Arrai, which is the highest position in the hierarchy. The Arrai is the leader of all the orcs in the Llevigar Plains, residing in Centerworld.

The Orcs also appear to have a religion based on the Earth, and appear to also believe the Decay is caused by the Villagers' imperialist tendencies, and tell tales of when the Dark Forests did not have withered plant life, and was a land where several orcs used to live.[6]

The current Arrai of the orcs is Veretel, who is currently leading the efforts of the orcs against the Villagers.

Trolls[]

The Trolls are a powerful type of Greenskin inhabiting the Canyon of the Lost. Common Troll body attributes include a dark green skin and different sized eyes. As seen in the Canyon, most Trolls tend to use axes as weapons. Their hair is commonly traded and bartered in the Thanos Bazaar.[7] The Dwarves of Thanos have also captured a giant Troll and are using it to protect their vault, which contains all of the city's riches.[8]

Ogres[]

The Ogres are another type of physically powerful Greenskin, found in Llevigar Plains, Olux Swamp and even the Canyon of the Lost. Ogres are independent individuals, and prefer to mostly live alone.[9]

Goblins[]

The Goblins are small in size, and do not have as much physical strength as any of the previous Greenskins listed, but they make up for it with their higher intelligence.[4] They are found in Llevigar Plains and Olux Swamp. Goblins are allied with the Orcs in the war against the Villagers, and even share some camps in the Llevigar Plains. A list of Goblin camps is found below:

  • Waterway Camp
  • Mistdawn Camp
Location
Llevigar Plains
-1550, 45, -4850
PinpointConcept2
Wynncraft Map

The Goblins of this camp, Mistdawn Windwhistlers and Raindancers, are water- and air-themed, wearing mostly white equipment. The camp consists of two large stumps, one of which seems to be used as a cooking area, and the other one as a storage. A totem can be found on the top of the camp, which may be related to the theme of the goblins here.

Hobgoblins[]

Lastly, the Hobgoblins are a variant of Goblins living in the Canyon of the Lost. They are intelligent, possibly the most intelligent species of Greenskins, and mostly peaceful, living mainly off of farming instead of hunting. They have even expanded to more advanced skills such as casting magic and properly mining.

In the far southeastern Canyon, there exists a certain group of hoarding Hobgoblins, whose main base is found inside a large pine tree. They collect anything that they can find, including all the loot from those that get lost and die in the vast Canyon.[10]

Llevigar Plains Camps[]

LlevigarPlainsCamps

Not including the Orcs and Goblins that wander the Llevigar Plains, there are a total of sixteen camps inhabited by the two species across the region. Not all of these camps are hostile to players, while some are found in underground caves or other out-of-the-way locations. Several of them are involved in Quests following the Greenskin-Villager conflict in the region, Clearing the Camps and Blazing Retribution.

The map to the right shows all of these camps marked and numbered, to be referenced in the table below (click image to enlarge).

Notable Greenskins[]

  • Arrai-Veretel - The leader of the Orcs found in the Centerworld Fortress, overseeing the orcish efforts in the war against the Villagers.
  • Poxper - An Orc Chief from the Llevigar Plains, who stole the Fire Axe of Llevigar from the city. However, the Fire Axe is imbued with runic magic, a type of magic that Poxper couldn't comprehend. Thus, he accidentally started numerous fires across the Plains, desperately trying to get his axe under control. To investigate the disappearance of the Fire Axe and the various fires, Detective Jackson was deployed to the scene in an attempt to track the axe down.[4]
  • Elisu - Chief of the Cliffhearth orc camp. The Humans have been commissioned by the Villagers to take care of their, and two others', camps.
  • Ceifko - Chief of the Earthpit orc camp. The Humans have been commissioned by the Villagers to take care of their, and two others', camps.
  • Veltu - Chief of the Trunkstump Goblin camp. The Humans have been commissioned by the Villagers to take care of their, and two others', camps. Curiously, unlike the other two camp chieftains, Veltu's surrounded themselves with Goblins instead of Orcs.[3]
