Fishing is one of the four Gathering Professions. Fishing involves catching various fish throughout the world with a Rod to acquire Crafting Materials in the form of Oil or Meat.

Usage

Main Resources

Oils are used in the Woodworking, Jeweling, Alchemism, and Scribing Professions to craft Reliks, Accessories, Potions, and Scrolls. Meats are used in the Cooking Profession to craft Food.

Overview

Successfully gathering fish gives the player XP in their Fishing profession. If the fish fails to be refined, then a significantly smaller amount of XP is gained. As the player levels up their Fishing profession, their gathering speed and refining success rate increase. At certain milestones, the player also unlocks new Gathering Tools and fish to gather.

Gathering Tool

Rods are the tools used in the Fishing profession. Like all other Gathering Tools, Rods have durability that decreases every time the player refines a fish. When the tool reaches zero durability, the refining chance becomes 0%, however, XP is still awarded. Rods can be repaired at a Blacksmith using Repair Scrap.
