Gerald the Yeti is an NPC dedicated to the Festival of the Blizzard, accompanying The Traveler. He can be found by the tree in the center of Detlas from December 10th, 2021 to January 1st, 2022. After the Festival of the Blizzard is over, he will disappear from Detlas.
After inviting The Cook to partake in the festivities in Detlas, you can speak to him to be given Hastily-Prepared Food, which can then be fed to Gerald to prompt him to move away from the tree, opening a secret passage inside. After being fed, he falls asleep next to the Trade Market stall, east of the tree.
Unlike most NPCs, Gerald does not have a visible nametag.

The Yeti curiously watches as you approach it.
- Stare back.
- The yeti stares back at you with a determined look.
- Happily smile.
- You meet eyes with the yeti, but it quickly looks away.
- Ponder.
- The yeti sits with great patience, as if it's waiting for something...
- Give meal.
- The yeti's eyes glow with excitement as it devours the meal!
- It yawns and slowly slouches out of the way...

After Eating
The yeti seems to be taking a nap.
- Pet the yeti.
- You pet the sleeping yeti, it snores obnoxiously...
- Take a look around.
- It's a sleeping yeti, looks like a puddle of frozen drool nearby...
- Walk away quietly.
- It's probably best not to bother it...
