Longleg Grippers are an uncommon Hostile Mob found in the Eyeball Forest.
Grippers were the first mob in the Silent Expanse to be revealed, being teased in the Noisy Silence teaser trailer, and later appearing with several other mobs in the official 1.19 Reveal Trailer.
Combat[]
Longleg Grippers are large, slow melee enemies that follow the player and try to damage them by coming into contact with them.
They have two phases; at first they have 30000 health, and after this is depleted, the mob enters its second phase, which has only 6000 health.
In both phases, Longleg Grippers will occasionally use the Pull spell to force players into close quarters combat with them. Additionally, in their first phase only, they will sometimes use the Self-Destruct spell. This simply depletes the remainder of their health, forcing the Gripper into its second phase.
Longleg Grippers deal ✤ Earth damage with their attacks, and take reduced ✹ Fire and ✦ Thunder damage.

Location[]
Longleg Grippers can spawn throughout the Eyeball Forest, usually alongside Watchers and groups of common Blinders. They also sometimes spawn in the vicinity of wild Dusk or Chalky Kantry, which will attack and often kill them. This can be a detriment if seeking to kill Grippers for Calcified Ligaments, however.
