Mana in Wynncraft is energy required to use and cast powerful spells. Spell builds in endgame generally have a good amount of Mana Regen, Mana Steal, or both with high Intelligence points. Spell cost items like Flashing Boots can also be used in spell builds. In the game, your mana is represented by a set of blue circles, which replaces the hunger bar in Vanilla Minecraft. Along with casting spells, sprinting until the Sprint Bar turns red will cause significant mana depletion. Mana naturally regenerates at a speed of 5 units per second. Consecutively casting spells will result in the cost of mana to increase with each spell casting. If you have the mana sustain for it, you should cycle certain spells repeatedly in a pattern. For example, Archer can cycle Arrow Storm and Arrow Bomb. You can cycle that infinitely if you have enough Mana Regen/Mana Steal/both with you and low enough spell costs.
Tips[]
- As players level and upgrade spells, some spells will require less mana to cast them. You may visit the Identifying article or the website for reference and additional information.
- Spell cycling can work if you have low enough costs and enough Mana Steal/Mana Regen, or both of them.
- The spell combos can vary with different Archetypes; On Archer, people generally cycle Arrow Storm with Arrow Bomb; on Assassin, people generally cycle Dash/Vanish Smoke Bomb Spin Multi Hit Spin; on Mage, people generally cycle Heal Meteor or Ice Snake Meteor Arcane Transfer; on Warrior, people generally cycle Bash Uppercut or spam charge then uppercut (with Idol); and on Shaman, people generally cycle Aura Haul or Aura Uproot. Keep in mind you'll want the 2 spells you are cycling to have a low cost. The Black Catalyst Set can help you in getting those, or accessories from The Order of the Grook, or other items with -Spell Cost if you can't get high enough Intelligence assigned.
- Investing Skill Points in the Intelligence stat will reduce the mana cost for spells as well as increasing your maximum mana, or wearing items with -Spell costs (like Dragon's Eye Bracelet, Draoi Fair, Renda Langit, or Chain Rule if you have an Earth weapon, etc), or -Spell cost % items in builds (Demon Tide, Flashing Boots, Insulated Plate Mail, etc). Having low spell costs are crucial for being able to spell cycle. People mainly cycle 2 spells generally unless it's Assassin, and the spells being cycled will usually both cost a very low amount of mana to take up the least mana possible. You can of course cycle more than two spells, but you'll need a lot of Mana Regen or/and Mana Steal to be able to sustain the mana. Sustaining any more than 40 mana per 2 spells on average will be very hard if not impossible to sustain.
- Wearing equipment identified with Mana Steal or Mana Regen will help regenerate mana.
- Players in water regenerate mana more slowly.
- Natural Mana Regen is 5 mana for every 1 second.
- In spellspam builds, you'll want a Super Slow speed for abusing Mana Steal if you have it. Even without Mana Steal it is necessary for abusing Powder Specials.
Trivia[]
- Prior to the 1.14 Gameplay Update Mana was always consumed when sprinting, independent of the distance.
- The Mana Bar, along with the health bar and the coordinates, are all technically chat.
