Introduction

Wynncraft is a magical fantasy land created by CraftedMovie. It is filled with many wonders and things to discover. As you journey you will find everything from harmless animals to dangerous and powerful foes. The game begins in the Wynn Province, in a small city named Ragni. You, as the player, have the freedom of exploring 5 different classes: Mage, Warrior, Archer, Assassin and Shaman. You will explore many places and wonders as you journey through Wynn finding your destiny among a vibrant community. Please read and follow the Rules when playing on the server. The game world is operated and moderated by the Wynncraft Staff.

Lore / Story

Click here to read the story of Wynncraft. The storyline was written by Grian, an admin and expert builder for Wynncraft. The town you first step foot in is built by him!

Blocks

In the world of Wynncraft no block can be broken with the exception of loot chests and flower pots and some mob-blocks from quests. The majority of blocks you see will be decorative. Items can be obtained in the following ways:

  • killing mobs
  • merchant villagers
  • loot chests
  • completing quests
  • item spawn areas
  • trading with other players

If you ever come across an area where random items spawn, make a note of this as you will probably need to come back there later.

Buttons, levers, and pressure plates are used in many puzzles you will come across.

Furnaces and crafting tables situated in villages and towns cannot be used. Some chests (Loot Chests) can be used, but most are simply decoration.

Water and lava will act differently, so be adventurous and experiment.

Items

Wynncraft has many different types of items. These include Weapons, Armor, Accessories, Materials, Ingredients and other items, such as Dungeon Keys, Quest items, Runes, Powders, etc. Wynncraft has a resource pack, so items look a lot different from normal Minecraft. For example, planks may be a Wand.

Classes

Wynncraft has 5 main classes: Mage, Warrior, Archer, Assassin and Shaman. Donors unlock similar classes with more visual effects, namely the Dark Wizard, Knight, Hunter, Ninja and Skyseer respectively.

Mage

The Mage is a support class that is balanced in range, defense, and damage. This balance makes the mage powerful if used with the right skills and gameplay.

Warrior

The Warrior is a tank class, meaning it has a high defense ability. The warrior can survive almost anything and deals moderate damage.

Archer

The Archer is a ranged class, it has extremely high range and very powerful weapons, but lacks in defense. It is also fast in its movements. In the right hands the archer is very powerful.

Assassin

The Assassin is a damage dealing class, very powerful and has a moderate defense, but ultimately lacks in attack range. It's mobility is pretty good at higher levels.

Shaman

The Shaman is a class that has very good area control abilities. Like Archer, it lacks in defensive abilities. The Shaman may be hard to use, but it can execute powerful combos.

Experience Points

Experience points are awarded for killing mobs and completing quests. After a certain amount of experience is acquired your character will level up and the new level will appear in the center above the items bar, similar to the XP level indicator in normal Minecraft. The number only goes up as experience is not used for enchanting or smithing on the anvil. When a mob is killed by your character, the number of experience points awarded is indicated at the position of the dying mob. Attacking mobs closest to your level will award the most experience points.

Skill Points

Skill Points are earned when you level up. Your player will acquire 2 points per level. Skill Points can be spent on perks which are strength, defense, agility, dexterity, and intelligence. Strength gives the player 1% more damage per point and increases your Earth damage. Defense makes the player take 1% less damage per point and increases your Fire damage. Agility gives the player the ability to dodge all damage, though you still take the knock-back for it, 1% per point, as usual, when it is successful, slime particles will appear at your feet. Agility also increases your Air damage. Dexterity increases your Thunder damage and gives the player a 1% (per point) chance to do double damage, this uses snowball particles. Finally, intelligence gives the player 1% more hunger (used as mana) per point and increases your Water damage. After 64 skill points are assigned to a skill, the number on the book may still say 64, but the % will show higher. Read the % from there on to get the correct amount.

Quests

Quests are tasks that you can do in order to get some XP or emeralds. Some quests are mandatory for you to complete and experience the full game. Quests will ask you to do many, many different kinds of things ranging from just collecting materials or battling a boss to travelling through time or finding ruins of ancient civilizations. They have a lot of content to explore.

Quests vary in difficulty, with the greater challenges giving a greater reward. Some quests require cooperation and teamwork, and some require you to think differently!

Map

The Wynncraft webpage has an essential map of the overworld. Make sure to use it as some quests may be overly difficult without this. At the top right, you can choose which markers to show. There is a wide variety of markers, including merchants, the Nether portal, dungeons, etc. The map itself is accessible by going to the main website (https://wynncraft.com/) and scrolling down to the "Help" section, and then press the "Map" button. Or you can simply follow this link: https://map.wynncraft.com/

Money & Economy

Wynncraft's currency is Emeralds, a green stone that you will encounter as you adventure through the world. The green stone is often dropped by mobs or found in loot chests, and you can trade them with merchants. You can identify merchants by their magenta name. An example is Armour Merchant.

Gaining Emeralds

Quests also reward emeralds. The reward depends on the quests, some quest have small ones, but the challenging quests reward you more heavily. Higher level quests also tend to yield much more emeralds.

Dungeons also reward emeralds upon completion. There are currently 9 normal dungeons and 5 corrupted variants, and the rewards depend on their difficulty.

Blacksmiths will pay you emeralds depending on the item you sell them. It won't be always the same amount, but it will be within a certain range. The rarity of the piece of equipment (Normal, Unique, Rare, Legendary, Fabled, Mythic) greatly affects the number of emeralds you get from selling them.

Trading

You can also trade your emeralds with other players for items or armours. Remember that your trader may ask for more emeralds, depending on the rarity, identification, and its stats.

You can also buy basic gear and Accessories from merchants spread out across the provinces.

Donations

Wynn operates on donations. You can gain Ranks, Crates, Pets, and Bombs by purchasing them in the online store located at https://store.wynncraft.com. Your donations help keep the server alive for another day and the staff thanks you infinitely for that!

Crates

Loot crates, not to be confused with loot chests, give you fun decorative perks such as particle effects, horse cloaks, and weapon skins!

Bombs

Bombs are one time use items that give buffs to everyone online or throw a party for any players nearby.

Loot Chests

Chests will appear in the world of Wynncraft with particles coming out of them. These are special chests you can open that contain items to help you along your way. Take note of where you found them as they may reappear again. It is good to understand that the other chests you see in the world are decorative. If a loot chest goes unopened for a long time, the loot in it will increase in value. So, if a loot chest haven't been opened for a while, depending on the loot chest tier (1-4) and your level, there will be much more variety of loot and the loot becomes more valuable.

Crafting

Crafting is a way of creating your own items. It is not necessary in Wynncraft, since the majority of the items you get and use are from other sources listed above. To craft, you need resources. There are four gathering talents: Woodcutting, Mining, Fishing and Farming. With them, you can gather Crafting Materials from different sources. Combining the materials in different ways at different Crafting Stations gives you different items. The eight crafting professions are Weaponsmithing, Woodworking, Armouring, Tailoring, Jeweling, Alchemism, Scribing and Cooking.

Horses

Horses are a way of travelling quickly and you can earn one for free at level 34! Their skills are capped at a certain amount, the higher your horse's level, the stronger and faster it is! There are 4 tiers of horses: Brown, Black, Chestnut, and White. White is the highest tier and capable of the highest speeds and jump heights!

Soul Points (Death)

Upon each death, you will lose 2 Soul Points and a few items. The lower the amount of Soul Points you have, the higher the chance to drop more valuable items. If you go below 5 soul points you have the chance to drop things other than junk items. If you are low on Soul Points it is highly recommended to be very careful and wait to regain Soul Points. Soul Points are gained at every in-game sunrise, or every 20 minutes. At every sunrise, you gain 1 Soul Point. You can also wait offline to regenerate soul points at the rate of 1 soul point/hr.

Commands

Make sure to review the commands listed in this wiki as they are very helpful.

Three especially useful commands are:

  • /kill - reduces soul points by 2 and returns you to a nearby town. Use this if you teleport or spawn in rock or get stuck somehow. So if you have very low soul points, just wait it out in the stuck area for a day or two to pass and you should be able to /kill and escape without losing all your gear.
  • /hub - returns you to the main hub server. Can be useful to avoid the timeout period when you stay on a server as it reboots. Can also be helpful to find a server that you don't lag as much on. The servers color when looking in the compass (green, yellow, and red) refer to the amount of lag on the server.
  • /class - brings you to the class selection screen.
