WynnExcavation Site A is a medium level 35 quest located in the desert southeast of Almuj. This quest is the first of four WynnExcavation storylines.

Excavator Vade asks the player to translate an ancient text. Through a series of conversations with other NPCs and a riddle, the player discovers something more.
Stage 1
» Talk to Excavator Vade.

- Excavator Vade: Oh, hey kid. Wanna make some money?
- Excavator Vade: I need you to translate this ancient text.
- Excavator Vade: Just run it down to the lab assistant, Tesha.
- Excavator Vade: I'd take it myself, but I'm far too important for grunt work! The lab is up there in the tent, don't you dare damage the translation!
Stage 2
» Speak with Tesha.

- Tesha: Hello, welcome to WynnExcavation Labs!
- Tesha: Oh Vade sent you?
- Tesha: Oh yes, the tablet I was waiting for!

- Tesha: Oh my! This is quite interesting..
- Tesha: Here, let me finish this up...
- Tesha: ...and there you are!
- Tesha: One tablet complete! Return it to Vade. Oh, and don't read it!
Stage 3
» Talk to Excavator Vade.
Dialogue:
- Excavator Vade: Who are you?
- Excavator Vade: Oh, right, you're that kid I sent out!
- Excavator Vade: Well do you have the translated text or not?
- Excavator Vade: You do! Brilliant! Let's take a look at that...
- Excavator Vade: "Throw tribute an item to the wood that stands out, the right angle will open the way"
- Excavator Vade: I wonder if it's talking about inside the temple...Oh,uh, I forgot you were here. Stay out of this kid, it's grown up business!
Stage 4
» Solve the riddle.
The "tribute" can be any sort of item{{HideSpoiler
|To open the tomb:
1. Find the wooden stairs in the main chamber of the tomb that are of a different type of wood than the rest.
2. Throw a "tribute" (item) behind them to move a diamond block and open the way.
3. The entrance resides in the center of the room.

» Written in the sands of time, four diary entries hold the key.

Stage 6
» Traverse the tomb to find Pharaoh Nabak under a large crystal.
NOTE: Pharaoh Nabak is a three-staged boss, and before going out of the room you must collect the crystal that the second form drops you after you kill it
Stage 7
» Talk to Excavator Vade.
Dialogue:
- Excavator Vade: Hey kid, did you just come from the tomb?
- Excavator Vade: I knew I shouldn't have been so lazy and got someone else to do the leg work!
- Excavator Vade: Gosh, I can't tell my boss about this, he'll have my head! Literally! WynnExcavation is not a group you want to betray, they are more powerful than you will ever know.
- Excavator Vade: YOU'D BETTER NOT HAVE TAKEN ANYTHING! THAT IS OFFICIAL WYNN EXCAVATION PROPERTY!
